Since I've gotten more interested in rock gardening, I've read up on some of the smaller campanulas and their relatives. I had never grown Edraianthus, but last year I selected seeds for three species from the NARGS exchange. E. tenuifolius was the only one still alive through the heat of summer and the cold of winter, and got planted in our rock garden. It is supposed to do best with some afternoon shade, but our rock garden doesn't really offer much in the way of shade. In any case, ours are planted in relatively protected pockets, and I was excited to see the first flowers in early June.
