Freesia grandiflora |
|
Native to southern Africa, this cormous species thrives in areas with summer rainfall, usually in association with woody plants. Vegetative reproduction occurs by new cormlets growing from the ends of rhizomes. Our seedlings started blooming in February, about a year after they were started from seed.
