I love those buds, so full of promise

Leaves pushing up a month after planting Family iridaceae Life cycle perennial (Z9-10) Flowers red/yellow (early spring) Size 10" Light sun-light shade Bulbs planted in November 2017 had started to push up their blades by early December, but were damaged in a harsh freeze in January. Luckily, most of them survived and were inclined to bloom by late March.

Early March 2019: back for another year
