Leaves pushing up a month after planting

Life cycle perennial (Z9-10)
Flowers red/yellow (early spring)
Light sun-light shade

Bulbs planted in November 2017 had started to push up their blades by early December, but were damaged in a harsh freeze in January. Luckily, most of them survived and were inclined to bloom by late March.

In our garden, this plant grows in the following area: waterfall pondside
