Common name cranesbill Family geraniaceae Life cycle perennial Flowers mauve Size 18-20" Light sun-part shade Immensely popular cranesbill, because of its attractive flowers, foliage, and habit. Leaves are deep green with a bit of chartreuse, flowers keep on coming for a long time. That's what they say, anyway – we've just grown it for one year, starting from a small plant. While it hasn't yet reached its full potential, we did see blooms appearing for much of the growing season.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
