Glads aren't supposed to be hardy in our garden's zone. And most of them aren't - but we have a few that just keep on coming back. I used to chalk it up to the string of relatively mild winters we had, but last winter had some real zone 6 temperatures, and we still had glads. I'm all for it - I don't have the patience to dig the bulbs in fall and replant in spring, so we'd be gladless without these hardy ones!

I came to conclude the idea they must be dug is simply false. But I did notice that it seemed we eventually had mostly red ones |
