This thornless, podless cultivar was planted in our front yard by the township, as a street tree. It is rather late to leaf out in spring, and among the first to be bare in fall. A useful feature is that its golden yellow leaves that drop in October are so small that they don't smother the lawn – they get blown around enough that no raking is required.
