One of several tropical gingers I bought by mail order in autumn of 2019 and planted in our north-facing foundation border. It died back in winter, and took its time to return in spring. The rest of the season it looked healthy enough, but it waited to bloom until October. The year after, it was faster, even with a freeze-delayed start, and bloomed in early August.
