Wonderful plant - very attractive cut dark-green foliage, with green flowers in mid-spring that last for quite a while. We grew our original plants from seed many years ago, and the main plant is still alive. A few years ago, we picked up another hellebore, probably 'Silver Lace', from a nursery. It's also got argutifolius blood running through its veins, but has a different habit and leaf coloration. We haven't seen it bloom yet.
| By late November, some perennials have colorful fall foliage - but very few sport glossy green foliage quite as fresh-looking as this |
| Just as nice in January |

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston. About my plant portraits
