Hemerocallis 'Chicago Princess'

Hemerocallis 'Chicago Princess'
daylily
Common name daylily
Family hemerocallidaceae
Life cycle perennial
Flowers purple (July)
Light sun-part shade

'Chicago Princess' starts blooming in early July, purple with a delightful metallic sheen. The exact color appears to depend on just how the light hits it. The two photos above are of the same plant, eleven years apart.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
