Dwarf hosta species grown for its dense mass of small leaves. Good for groundcover in shady areas. We saw a very nice pot-full of them at Point Phillip Perennials, and were happy to get a small specimen, hopeful to create the effect for ourselves. It is planted in a trough that's way too big for the plant at its current size – I'm an optimist! Our plant bloomed in late June a year later.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston. About my plant portraits
