This hydrangea has not been in our garden long enough yet to show its true habit, but we like it so far. It's not classified as a paniculata grandiflora (PeeGee) hydrangea, although its flowers seem plenty big to me. Long-blooming and bright.
In fall of 2006, we purchased two additional H. paniculata cultivars: 'Pink Diamond' and 'Unique', both of which grow to small-tree proportions. They're small for now - maybe when they start displaying their individual characteristics they'll merit their own portrait pages.

| Denise | Sep 04, 2006 | I just planted my limelight hydrangea 2 weeks ago, on the west side of the garden, so the plant will get afternoon sun, I watered it well when I planted it, and now I noticed its leaves have drooped, but have not fallen off, I cant tell if I over watered it? or it dosent like the location, Im thinking of moving it to suuny all day location, and to enjoy it better, any thoughts why its drooping? the leaves thanks |
| ACWinOH | Oct 18, 2008 | I planted my 30" Limelight in bright shade 09/2005. It has bloomed each summer since then and is now almost 5' tall and 4' wide. The flowers are a wonderful soft green that becomes pink over time. I also have a Pink Diamond that has pink tinted white flowers. The pink is very delicate but definitely there. And I have a baby Blushing Bride that is a rooted cutting about 5" tall w/two ginormous blooms that are softest baby pink and gorgeous. Oddly, Blushing Bride hasn't grown much in the 5 months I've had it. Sprink 09 will tell the tale. - Carol |
