Iberis sempervirens

Iberis sempervirens
candytuft

Common name candytuft
Family brassicaceae
Life cycle perennial (Z4-10)
Flowers white (spring)
Size 10"
Light sun
Cultural notes ordinary garden soil

Deep evergreen foliage, covered in white flowers in mid-spring. One of the very first perennials to inhabit our garden, and the original specimen is still going strong, more than ten years hence. When we remember (admittedly not every year), we shear it back after flowering for compact form.

Iberis sempervirens

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.

One or more images of this plant are included in my stock photo catalog
