Upright-growing broadleaf evergreen popular as a landscape plant in the southeastern United States. Toothed glossy dark-green leaves, orange-red berries ripen in fall, and are a food source for birds. Our two specimens came as part of the landscaping package for our new home, and have done well so far. They have grown quite tall, to the point where I'm starting to consider pruning them.
