Impatiens auricoma 'Jungle Gold' |
Showy flowers, golden yellow streaked with burgundy in the throat, on a heat-tolerant plant originating in tropical Africa. They are quick to flower (ours started under the basement lights), and their glossy deep green foliage contributes to the appeal. I hope they self-seed, since there are only so many annuals (to our garden) that I can start any particular season.
| A month later the flowers have a richer orange coloration |
This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away... One or more images of this plant are included in my stock photo catalog About my plant portraits
