Impatiens scabrida |
 |
First year trying this plant. Thus far (by late June), they are nowhere near the height they're supposed to attain - at most a foot or so. Meanwhile, the Impatiens glandulifera is shooting up tall nearby. The leaves of the two species are similar, as is the shape of the flowers. I just hope that by season's end I won't have to get down on my knees to appreciate the flowers!
