Early summer-fall blooms. See the entry for I. amblyantha for distinguishing characteristics. Since the photo above right (of a specimen growing in a pot) shows a leaf with 21 leaflets, I figure this is really heterantha. The other photo shows how the leaves take on a glistening appearance when laden with dew in the morning sun. This specimen has been growing, for reasons I don't remember, in our vegetable garden, where the high-fertility conditions have spurred it to grow lusher than anywhere else.
