Member of the crested iris group, with beardless, white-crested flowers and ribbed leaves. One or two of my plants started from seed in 2008 survived, and finally bloomed in May of 2013. But the flowers don't look quite right, compared to other photos I've seen of I. tectorum, so I may have to adjust this page when I find out what I have on my hands...

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston. About my plant portraits

- Seed from HPS/MAG '07/'08 exchange. Baggy 70F (19d) - 75F (6d) - 70F (12%G, 9-12d). Rest of seed to pot outside on 3/28/08; several germinated in June
- Same seed as above. Baggy 70F (45d; 2%G, 24d). Rest of seed to pot outside on 2/24/09
- Seed from NARGS '21/'22 exchange. Baggy 70F (6w; 19%G, 17-27d); nicking seed after a month did not result in increased germination
