Strongly upright growth on this rush, with narrow blue-green blades shooting straight upward. Our clump is planted in a largish pot submerged in our backyard pond, partly hiding some plumbing at the bottom. Seven years after planting, it is still alive and well, claiming significant visual space along the pond's edge. I've never cut it back – perhaps I should try that, and see if the new growth gives a tidier look. But to be honest, I don't mind the messy head of hair look.
