I'm confused about this one, don't know if it's an annual or a (tender) perennial. But I know that I love the blue flowers on the low-growing mounds of mid-green foliage - they started blooming in late July - perhaps I should start my seed earlier next year.
Uh oh - last year's plants didn't set seed, and the original batch didn't germinate. Looks like I'll be doing without until I get some new seed.

| jacqueline | Jun 07, 2005 | i'm looking for seeds of pratia pedunculata (blue star creeper). also listed in sunset gardening book as isotoma fluviatilis and laurentia fluviatilis but doesnt look like your picture--leaves are more rounded. need lots of them. know of any sources? I'm afraid I lost this myself, and haven't been able to re-establish from seed. I'll be looking out for some this autumn. |
| Mary Beth | Oct 28, 2005 | I found this seed in the Pinetree Garden Seeds '05 catalog yesterday but could not find any info about it, only to realize after some research that they have it misspelled as Isatoma. It is an annual. It is item #86801. Your site helped me to confirm this . Thanks. Hope this helps you. Sure does, Mary Beth - I'll probably buy a packet from them. Thanks for the information. |
