Supposedly a tender perennial. It didn't get tall for us in its one year of growth, but it did manage to bloom. The next year, it was right back, and grew much taller. We did have a relatively mild winter, so hardiness in our garden remains to be established. The flowers look just like many other mallows, to my eyes.
