Family asteraceae
Life cycle perennial (Z5)
Flowers yellow (late summer)
Size 5'
Light part-full shade
Cultural notes moist soil
From seed germinate at room temperature, may take several weeks
detailed seed-starting info below

Flower stalks that rise from large heart-shaped leaves carrying clusters of yellow flowers. It sounds like this species from eastern Asia will grow larger than other ligularias we've tried. Just small seedlings for now.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
