Limonium latifolium

Limonium latifolium
Common name sea lavender
Family plumbaginaceae
Life cycle perennial (Z2)
Flowers light blue (late summer)
Size 2'
Light sun
Cultural notes ordinary garden soil
From seed I grew this from commercial seed, but have never managed to grow new plants from seed collected in my garden.

A light blue cousin of statice, with similar airy habit and utility as a cutflower and for drying. Good for August blue, when most of the colors in the garden are in the yellow-red range.

sea lavender

In our garden, this plant grows in the following areas: cutting garden, bogside border
