Lonicera tatarica

Lonicera tatarica
Common name Tatarian honeysuckle
Family caprifoliaceae
Life cycle shrub
Flowers fuchsia (May)
Size 10'
Light sun-part shade
Cultural notes ordinary garden soil

The most well-established denizen of our side garden's shrub border, this upright shrub is a delight every spring. Loads of flowers continue for a few weeks - not fragrant as far as we've noticed, but quite a sight. The red berries follow soon afterwards, and last through summer.

Tatarian honeysuckle

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
