Moisture-loving perennial wildflower native to southeastern and south-central United States. Ours popped up in our pond, most likely from a seed that hitchhiked on one of the plants we purchased. It's not a stunner (only a few flowers open up at a time, on lanky stems), but nice enough to keep around.
