Second attempt Family asparagaceae Life cycle perennial Light sun Mangaves, intergeneric crosses between Agave and Manfreda, have gained quite a bit of popularity in recent years: they are faster-growing than most agaves and feature an impressive range of leaf patterns. We tried a leopard-spotted specimen that did not survive, perhaps because of a cold winter, and replaced it with a similarly patterned one a couple years later.
