Four-petaled pale violet flowers open late in the day and release a strong, sweet fragrance - at least, according to my references. I'm scent-challenged, so I focused on the appearance of the curvy-petaled flowers. Overall a much more delicate plant than common stock, and not as long-blooming. But the swarm of pale purple flowers really lights up the front of the border as dusk arrives and darkens the garden. I wish they self-seeded in our garden – they would make a good semi-accidental addition to many of our typically untidy borders.
