Like sensitive plant, the leaves on this perennial native to the southwestern US curl up when touched. Trailing stems have some barbs. Flowers are pink fluffballs. Quite likely not the most refined plant, but I'll give it a try and see what it's like. Unfortunately, hardiness is questionable – the catalog where I purchased my seeds says hardy to zone 6, but some other sources say zone 9.

- Seed from Alplains Jan'13 order. Scarified with sandpaper, baggy 70F (64%G, 3-15d). Three rounds of scarification were required to get the majority of the seed germinated.
