Small daffodil, whose common name refers to the round shape of the corolla. The foliage is onion-like, rather than strap-shaped like the larger hybrid daffodils. I grew some seedlings in 2009, but thought I had lost them. So when the first flower finally appeared in late April of 2013, it took me quite by surprise! Hopefully next year will present a richer show of blooms.
