Our own lotus at last. An unnamed variety with nice bluish leaves. It was supposed to be a dwarf with pink-and-yellow flowers. To my eyes, the flowers are more of a white with blush on the buds/reverses, the only yellow being the tuft of stamens at the center. But in any case, they are quite beautiful, albeit short-lived. Of course they keep the show going with their seedboxes after the flowers fade, just to keep things interesting.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston. About my plant portraits
