Creeping groundcover with nice two-tone summer pea-flowers. Although I like its cheerful appearance, I've come to resent its tendency to spread by roots and put down deep taproots where it gets established. I tolerate only a small patch of it, but would greatly appreciate it if I needed a tough groundcover for a sloped garden area. Right on the fine line between weeds and garden flowers, in my book.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston. About my plant portraits
