Native to bogs and marshes in Patagonia. I'm finding them extremely difficult to keep alive even as seedlings, so I may never get to try them in the open garden.

This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away... About my plant portraits

- Seed from NARGS '08/'09 exchange, cold-stored through summer. Baggy 70F (38%G, 17-28d); none developed.
Also baggy 35F (10w) - 70F (15%G, 6d)
The cold stage was not necessary, and may have led to decreased viability. Germinated seeds are slow to develop, and hard to keep alive.
