detailed seed-starting info below

Large flowers, large petals. They don't last long, but they're eyegrabbers while they last. The hairy foliages pushes up in early spring, grows nice and bushy by late spring, then goes into decline and disappears by mid-summer. There are lots and lots of fancy cultivars around, but we just grow the standard in-your-face red variety.

In our garden, this plant grows in the following areas: front perennial border, side garden, sale plot

Seed for this plant is included on my seed trade list
