perennial (Z6-9) |

vine to 15' |

Relative of Virginia creeper, but reportedly less vigorous. The velvety dark green leaves, veined in silver, are the main attraction. They turn red in autumn, which is also when the blue-black berries appear. The vines can cling to surfaces, once established. We have just a single seedling - I may try growing it up one of our larger trees.
