One of my favorite penstemons. Much larger flowers than most, on an upright plant with fresh green foliage.
||3' tall, 18" wide
||ordinary garden soil
||Needs 6 weeks cold treatment, then germinates at room temperature. Seedlings are finnicky, very susceptible to damp-off. Some years it self-seeds.
|Seed ripens||late September|
We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
