Plant grown from seed in 2002 bloomed in its second year in our garden, but didn't return. Plants grown in 2003 didn't return even for year two. All were sited in a fairly well-drained area; not sure what did 'm in.

Seed-starting details for this plant

  1. Seed from '01 trade. Baggy. Cold 7 wks (10%G during 7th week), 70F 3 wks (no G), cold 3 wks (10%G during 3rd week
  2. Same seed as above. Baggy. Cold 11 wks (25%G, 8-11 wks), 70F (18%G, 2d)

Apparently, a long cold treatment (12 weeks or so) is beneficial.
