Penstemon native to high altitudes in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Forms mats of dark-green grassy leaves, with purple flowers in summer. Sounds like a species that will be difficult to keep alive in our Pennsylvania climate - but I'll be trying.

- Seed from NARGS '08/'09 exchange, cold-stored through summer. Baggy 35F (51%G, 4-9w) - 70F (no further G). Low success rate with sprouted seedlings, few developing leaves.
