Common name beardtongue Family plantaginaceae Life cycle perennial (Z5-9) Flowers pink-red (summer-fall) Size 24" Light sun Cultural notes well drained soil, drought-tolerant Substantial bluish-green strappy leaves, deep-pink tubular flowers that reportedly bloom over a long period. The species name seems to be only known to the nursery trade; it doesn't appear in my taxonomic references.
