'Carouby de Maussane' Common name snow pea Family fabaceae Life cycle annual Flowers purple (late spring) Size vine to 3' Light sun Every so often, we grow snow peas in our vegetable garden. I don't give them a particularly good trellis (they get to clamber on the fence along the back edge of the garden), and we seldom get a very good harvest. But they are good to munch on as a quick raw garden snack, and they have pretty two-toned flowers in June.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
