Common name prostrate knotweed Family polygonaceae Life cycle annual Light Low-growing weed with slender leaves and tiny flowers in the leaf axils. Not terribly widespread in our garden, and not typically a problem to control. But it looks messy, and has no redeeming qualities as far as I'm concerned.
