Native to North American deserts. Nearly white bark, spiny branch tips. Vividly blue flowers in spring. I've no idea if this stands a chance in our garden.

- Seed from '07 trade. Used sandpaper to remove orange papery husks from bean-like seeds, and to scarify these seeds. Only 20% of husks contained seeds. Soaked 3 hours, then baggy 65F (33%G, 3d). Remaining seeds may have been damaged by scarification procedure
