Pulsatilla zimmermannii

Family ranunculaceae
Life cycle perennial
Flowers violet

Hardly any online information on this species (if indeed it is an actual species). From what I gather, this is a smaller plant than P. vulgaris (now classified as Anemone pulsatilla), with deeper violet flowers. I hope to find out for myself next year.

In our garden, this plant grows in the following area: orchard nursery area
