Pulsatilla zimmermannii

Hardly any online information on this species (if indeed it is an actual species). From what I gather, this is a smaller plant than P. vulgaris (now classified as Anemone pulsatilla), with deeper violet flowers. I hope to find out for myself next year.

This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away...
