Common name azalea Family ericaceae Life cycle shrub (Z6) Flowers light pink (late spring) Size 2' Light part sun A Satsuki hybrid azalea, with small evergreen leaves and a dwarf stature. Its pink flowers arrive later in spring than on most other azaleas. Some references say it is hardy only to zone 7, but the tag on ours claims zone 6 – I hope they are right.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
