Small bulb from South Africa, suitable for rock gardens. I purchased it from a catalog that claimed it was hardy here (Z6-10), online information doesn't support that claim - and sure enough, it did not return the following year.
The photos were taken the first time I noticed any growth where I planted the bulbs. It doesn't exactly look like other photos I've seen, so the ID is tentative...
