Summer-dormant bulb, native to Uruguay and Argentina, with flowers in pink or red, depending on its exact origin. Bulbs don't multiply, but grow stronger over time, pushing themselves deeper into the soil year by year.

This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away...
