Different hardiness reports on this one. I'm hoping the ones projecting hardiness down to zone 6 (including the AHS encyclopedia) are correct. I'll try to remember to mulch them well... Others report that this tuberous perennial takes quite a number of years before seedlings get to blooming size. Native to India and Nepal.
Our first attempt did not meet with success – now trying a second time. Since I may never get to grow them to maturity, I took a picture of my seedlings shortly after planting them out.
