I'm not sure what name to assign to this plant, which I picked up at the John Fairey Garden nursery and whose label I promptly lost. It is similar in some ways to firecracker plant, but so far shows differences in habit, with a more horizontal, criss-crossy branching pattern, leaf shape (larger leaves), and most obviously, the flower color and form (violet-and-white bicolor, held singly rather than in dense clusters). But it will take a season in the garden for me to truly evaluate its relative appearance and merits.
