Selenicereus undatus |
 |
| Sad rooted cutting, just planted |
Common name |
dragonfruit cactus; pitaya |
Family |
cactaceae |
Life cycle |
perennial (Z10-11) |
Cactus with lax stems bearing interesting flowers followed by red-fleshed fruit. Grown both as an ornamental and for its fruit. Not likely to be hardy here, but I stuck a rooted section I got at a plant swap in May into our rock garden zone just to see what it does.
