Common name vertical-leaf senecio Family asteraceae Life cycle perennial (Z9b) Flowers yellow (summer) Size 18-24" Light sun-part shade Cultural notes ordinary garden soil; heat- and drought-tolerant Tender succulent grown mostly for its attractively arranged blue-green leaves. Unlikely to bloom outside truly tropical climates. I set it at the top of our rock/succulent garden, where it has thus far survived one mild winter – and grown nicely in the process.
