Common name tall goldenrod Family asteraceae Life cycle perennial Flowers yellow Size 2-4' Light sun-part shade Wildflower, widely distributed across the United States and Canada, with feathery plumes of yellow flowers topping erect leafy stalks. Despite its name, it is not among the tallest Solidago species. The ones that appeared as volunteers in our Texas garden didn't grow very tall at all.
